As we all got up in the morning, many of us had one thing in common that day: drink beer, glorious beer.

This year there was a variety… or better yet… an ABUNDANCE of beer from across the states. Even local Texas brewers were there attending this phenomenal event, because really, what’s a Houston Beer Festival without the Texas Taste? The view itself was amazing, right in front of Houston City Council with the main stage facing Hermann Square’s pool, where many of you decided to cool off during the dreadful Houston Heat. Let’s not forget the musical performances all around the venue, with the best one (in my view) being Bun B. He had everyone all hyped up, hands down (or up in the air like you just don’t care.)

Our Close friends from Fort Bend Brewery Co. made quite the impression that day from what we heard. We personally were running back and forth between their two tents trying to see if they had any of our favorite left. From Abita to Woodchuck Cider, there was something for everyone at this year’s Beer Fest.

Other than the dreaded wait to the porta potty, the event was a complete success. We would like to thank everyone that came and stopped at our tent and showed us some love. Thank you to all who participated in the raffle and congrats to the winners. And as I walked alone at one point, I looked around at every one and came to an amazing conclusion. This was our family, our city, with a wonderful skyline that is the beacon which lets us know we are home.
